Photo and music exhibition “Green White Blue” has travelled all around Latvia during the last 10 years. Since 2009 it was accompanied by two other cultural projects: documentary „The Closed Coast” and movie „The Century of Sailing Ships”. In 2016, we are planning to exhibit it all in Madona and Limbaži. See you there!

A Letter to You
After waking up in the morning I look at the sky. What strikes me first is – how is it now there, on the coast?
Green, White, Blue. It’s a story about the place where time intersects. The album started with the question to myself: „Who am I? What do I want to say?” I know by creating something new the sense of satisfaction goes hand in hand with great responsibility. All of a sudden you must be aware of what will happen and how it will happen...
This has been a nine-year-long journey. Through all the Livonian villages and through all the seasons of the year. A twenty-four-hour-a-day journey. Green, White, Blue is a true story about the coast, stars, a fox in Slitere, a juniper and hoarfrost. It comes from love, conversations with Pauline, from the Livonian language, music and coastal symbols. Shot on film to get closer to the truth, closer to what you’re unable to express in numbers, but feel.
Nowherelse in the world do people speak Livonian. There’s only one Kolka Cape with two seas and there’s only one Livonian Coast.
Time passes and you have a chance to do what you consider to be important. To pass on values existing before you and continuing to live on to other people.

I’m completely sure that Latvia is a very bright colour between others in the great palette of all the world nations. Moreover, the Latvian and Livonian folk music add a very special tone. I’ve noticed that while performing in different European countries where we have been presenting the Livonian photo and music album „Green White Blue”. It has inspired me to dive deeper into the Livonian folk riches and to bring them out into the space of world music and arts. It’s like a jouney into labyrinth in order to find yourself.
